Emergency roof tarping

Emergency roof tarping that stops the water tonight

Emergency roof tarping is the fastest way to stop a storm-damaged roof from wrecking the inside of your house. We run emergency service 24 hours a day, seven days a week — so if wind took your shingles at 2am or water is coming through a ceiling on a Sunday, call or text and someone answers. We’ll get a tarp secured over the opening, photograph the damage for your claim, and tell you what the roof actually needs. Based in Baytown, covering Greater Houston.

When you need a tarp

Stop the water before it spreads

Water coming through an open roof does its most expensive damage in the first day or two — into insulation, drywall, wiring and flooring. Tarping is what stops that clock.

Storm ripped shingles off

High wind peeled the roof open, or a limb came through. The deck is exposed and the next rain goes straight inside.

Active leak you can hear

Water is coming into a room and buckets are not keeping up. A tarp stops the intake while we find the source.

Waiting on the adjuster

Your claim is filed but the adjuster is days out. Tarping protects the house — and your claim — in the meantime.

What's included

What our tarping service covers

Emergency tarp service near me usually turns up as a stranger with a blue tarp and a staple gun. This is what we actually do instead.

Properly secured, not stapled

Tarps are run over the ridge where the slope allows and fastened down so wind cannot get underneath and peel it off in the next gust.

Photographed before and after

We document the damage before covering it, so the tarp does not hide the evidence your insurance claim depends on.

A plan for the real repair

Before we leave you know what the roof actually needs, roughly what it involves, and what the next step is.

What to do now

Before we get there there are four things worth doing

None of this replaces the tarp, but it limits the damage while you wait.

1

Move what you can

Get furniture, electronics and anything valuable out from under the leak. Water spreads along ceilings before it drips.

2

Catch and contain

Buckets and towels under the drip. If a ceiling is bulging with trapped water, keep everyone clear of it.

3

Photograph everything

Take photos of the damage inside and out before anything is moved or cleaned up. Your claim will want them.

4

Call your insurer, then us

Open the claim, then call 346-309-6715. We can work with your adjuster from the start.

Common Questions

Emergency Roof Tarping Questions, Answered

What Baytown & Houston homeowners ask when the roof is open

Straight answers about emergency tarping, what it costs, and what happens next.

How fast can you get a tarp on my roof?

We run emergency service 24/7, so call or text 346-309-6715 whenever it happens — middle of the night and weekends included. We prioritise roofs that are actively letting water in and get out same day wherever we can. After a large regional storm every roofer in Houston is stretched, so we'll always give you a real time rather than a promise we can't keep.

Does a tarp fix the roof?

No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something. A tarp is a controlled, temporary cover that stops more water getting in while you sort out the repair or the insurance claim. It buys you time and prevents the damage spreading into your ceilings, insulation and drywall.

How long can a tarp stay on?

A properly installed tarp will hold for weeks, which is normally long enough to get through an insurance claim and a scheduled repair. It isn't a permanent roof — UV and wind wear it down — so we'll agree a plan for the real fix while it's up.

Will my insurance pay for the tarp?

Often, yes. Most policies expect you to take reasonable steps to prevent further damage after a storm, and emergency tarping is exactly that. Keep the receipt and the photos — we document the tarp work so it can go into your claim alongside the roof damage itself.

Do you tarp commercial buildings too?

Yes. We cover flat and low-slope commercial roofs as well as houses. If you manage a property and a tenant has water coming in, call and we'll get it covered.
